Tech San Diego Growth Conference

“San Diego, with 73,170 total tech jobs, has the 20th largest tech talent labor pool out of the 50 markets, and the second largest in California, behind only the San Francisco Bay Area. CBRE said the metro experienced the second-fastest momentum change across all 50 markets, with employment growth rising 10.3 percent in the past two years compared to 0.1 percent in the two years prior (2015 and 2016), for a 10.2 percentage point swing. Only Orlando, FL, saw a bigger swing in momentum.”- Xconomy.com

Growth, it is a topic we all talk about but few of us actually look to best practices.   In October,  Tech San Diego is gathering some of the region’s top growth executives to explore growth strategies.  We have put an emphasis on best practices coupled with a series of lightning talks on growth topics.

We all know that growth does not just ‘happen,’ it involves painstaking planning and execution on a defined growth strategy.  But what components of these growth strategies do you need?   While we can’t answer that question, we can present you with specific proven growth strategies.   For example, although many would point to funding as an impetus to growth, the real story is the decisions management made to get them to a point where outside capital was even feasible.

  • How do growth companies prepare for outside funding?
  • What early decisions really paid off?
  • What are best practices around building a high functioning senior leadership team?
  •  How do you make the transition from a scrappy start-up to a mature high growth company?

We are going to ask these questions and more at the growth conference and I hope you can join us.
